Living at 23 Clifton Road, Exeter, when Claude is born. Thomas left Ethel. In the 1939 register and in the 1945 voters list he was living at Cott Cottage, Branscombe with Alice H. Perryman. There were two possible Charles Perrymans born in Branscombe. One an agricultural labourer born in 1889, and the othera gardener born in 1887. Several of his family were lacemakers, and there were several other Perryman housholds inhabited by one or more lacemakers in Branscombe in 1911.
At the 1901 census Ethel is visiting her sister Rose and family in Shobrooke.
