Note on Wife: Charlotte ARSCOTT
Charlotte was baptised from Chittlenholt (Chittleham Holt).In 1851 Census she is living with her parents,her illegitimate daughter Betsy and her son William Hodge. In the 1861 census her marital status is Unmarried(?). Betsy seems to have disappeared, though there is apparently no death recorded.There is a grandson William Arscott in the household. Is this former William Hodge? Although the age is incorrect there appears to have been no birth of a William Arscott that would fit.
