In 1851 Harry is with his parents and siblings at "Part of Pale", Sandford.In 1861 the family are in the Village, Sandford, next door to William Pickett. In 1871 he is a shop assistant working for woollen draper Joseph Butcher, in Maidstone, Kent at 48 Week Street' Butcher and Dolby have been woollen merchants for at least 20 years, and William Butcher of Week Street is on the electoral roll of 1845.

In 1879 Harry emigrated to Australia. In 1879 Harry and Sarah Ann were divorced.

Sarah is called Ann in the 1861 Census.In 1881 she is divorced and living with her newly remarried mother.4
