Elisha is a bit of a mystery. I can trace no death.
At 1861 census was an AB seaman on board HMS Caesar, a 91 gun wooden screw ship-of-the-line under Capt Thomas Henry Mason. At the time of the census it was on station in the Med, and we know from the log it was moored off Corfu.
In 1881 Ellen and the children are lodging at 19 West Exe S.E Side, Tiverton, in a house full of garment workers of various kinds, presumably from Heathcoats.By 1891, both Ellen's children are working in the Silk/Lace industry, the family are still living in a room at 19 Westexe SE Side, By 1901 Ada, her brother and her mother Ellen are living with Ellen's mother Ann Crocombe at 15 Seymour Terrace, Westexe, Tiverton, and both children are described as silk lace workers - he a dyer, she a finisher. In 1911 Ellen is living alone at 1 The Retreat, Gold Street, Tiverton, described as "formerly housekeeper"
