Great-great grandfather James Wright - her stepson-in-law was visiting her as was his custome to see how she was doing. Unable to get an answer to his knocking , with the help of a farm worker he climbed up to her bedroom. There being no sign of her in bed they broke into an outhouse and found her hanging from a joist. The inquest is reported in the Flying Post of 30 August 1882.
