Note on Husband: Charles William Farthing

There is no trace of a marriage between Charles and Mary Park, despite research having been undertaken by several Farthing researchers to locate one. As a result there is some difficulty in identifying the father of the children listed with the couple in the 1901 census and therefore tracing their births.15

Note on Wife: Mary Park

Mary seems to have had most of the children to unnamed father(s) before she met Charles Farthing.

Note on Child 1: Thomas Park

In the First World War Thomas was a gunner with the Royal Garrison Artillery16,17

Note on Child 5: Charles Farthing

Twin to John

Note on Child 6: John Farthing

Twin to Charles
