His comrades were sent to Germany immediately. He seems to have remained in Italy for a while. Then was sent to Camp No 11/A in Germany from 12 Mar 1944 to 12 Oct 1944, and then Camp 11/13 where he was working in a brick factory from 12 Oct 1944 to 10 April 1945
