By 1928 Louis and Annie were living with his half-sister Susan at Shute, Sandford. In 1939 when he died Louis and Annie had moved next door to St Swithuns Gardens, and Susan continue to live at Shute Cottage with several others.
He was a chorister for over 40 years, clerk to the Church for 20 years. For many years he was branch secretary to the United Patriots National Benefits Society.
He was a member of the old village Sports Committee when the sports were held in Creedy Park.
