Note on Wife: Vera BULLEID
According to Stephanie Lewis, Vera divorced Coleman O' Loughlin, fleeced her brothers and sisters of the family inheritance, and ran a brothel in Richmond Road, Exeter. She then remarried. She died of a heart attack at a party thrown to celebrate the fact she didn't have cancer! As she died intestate, husband Harold inherited everything that she had taken from the family, and left it to his son Norman, who moved to Heavitree and lived off the inheritance.Vera's mother wouldn't talk to her for years. For a while Vera ran the Globe Inn in Clifton Street, Exeter. When she died she was running a pub in Martock, Somerset.3
