To be held in trust for my wife to use during her life by Elon Wright and John Albert Wright, trustees, my dwelling house, the orchard garden and appurtenances thereto, called Mount Pleasant Cottage, and all the household good therein.
After my wife's death, Mount Pleasant is to be held in the same trust as my other property below.
To my son Charles and his wife Maria, held in trust by the trustees my four cottages called The Hill Cottages and my four cottages called Vinnicombes and the gardens and appurtenances of those, and all my other leasehold premises in Trusham, to receive from the trust all rents and profits from the premises having paid all outgoings, insurance and expenses, and repairs, and the same from Mount Pleasant, having used surplus rents to pay the principal and interest monies which may be due on mortgages. And the trustees to put in a new life (to the lease) for Mount Pleasant and the Hill Cottages. After full payment of mortgage and interest due at my death, the rents of Hill Cottages, Vinnicombes, and after my wife's death Mount Pleasant Cottage too, shall be divided equally between my son and his wife during their joint lives and to the survivor should one die. After the death of Charles and Maria the property goes to their children. Or if Charles Causley and Maria his wife agree, the trustees can sell the premises and leases at auction, and having paid expenses use the profits to buy Government Securities or Railway stocks or debentures, and pay the income from those to Charles Causley and his wife in equal shares, or to their children after they are both deceased.
In addition, all my money, securities and personal estate not detailed above shall pay my funerary expenses, and the residue shall be given to Charles Causley, his wife Maria and their children as detailed above.
