The testator gives his leasehold residence with the household furniture and effects, to his granddaughter, Clara Heard Colbourn; and some other bequests. The residue of his real and personal estate is to be divided between his step-daughter, Susan Thomas, his daughter-in-law Mrs Clara Heard, and his grandchildren, Henry Colbourn, William Colbourn, Edwin Colbourn, Clara Heard Colbourn, Tobias Colbourn, Frances Theodora Heard, William John Dyer, George Dyer, Susan Frances Dyer, Charlotte Matthews, Emily Mary Dunton and Hannah Rose Colbourn.

25 Jan 1838:Buys shares in Bristol brig Euphemia

Bought 15 shares from W Cook and sells all 15 on 6 Dec 1845 back to W Cook. ( She was built 1829 Prince Edward Island and by 1850 this brig was being used as a Prison Ship (Hulk) in San Francisco Bay - described as a 2 masted 90' long ship.)

1841: No Census record found. Possibly at sea. Lloyds register shows him as the captain of the brig Hero on the route between Bristol and London. No records for wife Theodora so she may be accompanying William.
