| The Key West Citizen, 14 January 1941 HAROLD JONES DIED MONDAY Conducted Many Evangelistic Meetings Here: Funeral Tomorrow. Harold Jones, aged 56, of Albany N.Y. died at 1.15am after a lengthy illness. Mr. Jones is well known in this city, having conducted many series of evangelistic meetings at the Gospel Hall and in the open air in his previous visits to the Island City. He was stricken in the north, but desired to come back to Key West to enjoy the sunshine here once more. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon from the Gospel Hall at 4:30 o'clock, where the body will be placed at 2.00pm. George MacKenzie of Kenilworth N. J. will officiate. Lopez funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors are the widow, Mrs Rita Jones; one son, Alfred Jones who was with him at the time of his death; one daughter, Mrs. John Murphy, of Albany, N.Y. and numerous other relatives. Pallbearers will be selected from the membership of the Gospel Hall. |
