Cause: drowned at sea From the North Devon Journal of 8 January 1846."APPLEDORE During the gale of 28th ult. two men were washed overboard and drowned, from the brig "Thomas Elizabeth", captain Richard Heard, on her passage from Waterford to this place. One of them was named Bartholomew Pickard, a nephew of the master; the other was a native of the Mumbles." |
