In 1851 with his parents in Cheltenham. In 1871 he was Assistant Master at Castle Green School, Bishop's Hull, Taunton with his sister and brother-in-law, and sister Mary Ann. In 1881 he was back at Belmore House, Bath Road, Cheltenham, where he was School Master and had married Eliza. By 1891 he had retired to Littleham (Exmouth - Raleigh Villas) with his wife and his unmarried sister Jane. By 1901 George and his wife had moved to Weston Super Mare.
