Although Henry taught school in both Taunton, England and various communities in the United States for many years, he was a self-proclaimed "traveling Evangelist." However, Henry was really more of what we would today call an activist. He traveled throughout Michigan, Ohio and Colorado speaking on behalf of various foreign relief organizations and children's homes. He was responsible for the adoption of many orphans during his lifetime.

PIONEER IN CLEAN MILK
Mr A.H.Vesey Dies At Wincanton
The death occurred on Thursday last week of Mr. Arthur Henry Vesey, of Suddon Grange, Wincanton, who was well known as a pioneer in clean milk production. Mr.Vesey, who was 78 years of age, went as a young man to the United States of America, and, returning to this country, farmed for some years at Stowell House, near Templecombe, where he had a herd of pedigree Shorthorns. He then went to Suddon Grange where he changed his herd to pedigree Guernseys, and it was with this herd that he introduced new methods of milk production. He was one of the first to produce bottled T.T.milk; a film was taken of his methods for showing in cinemas, and medical and sanitary experts visited his farm. In later years Mr. Vesey gave up milk production and turned his attention to the production of prime Devon beef. He leaves a wife, one son, the Rev. A.L.Vesey (rector of Wickham, Hants), and a daughter, Mrs. Lamplugh, wife of Brigadier Stephen Lamplugh, serving in Paiforce. One son, a Naval officer, was lost at sea before the war, and another son, who under the name of Ernest Lewis, was a writer of nature books died some ten or twelve years ago.
The remains were cremated and the ashes interred in Stowell parish churchyard on Tuesday, where the Rev. A. L. Vesey officiated. The private mourners were Mrs. Vesey (wife), Mrs. Lamplugh (daughter) and Mrs. A.L.Vesey (daughter-in-law). Many friends also attended.
