In 1881 William, Elizabeth and Walter were at Western Road, Norwood. In 1891 the family was living in "a tenement" in Western Road, Norwood, almost ommitted by the enumerator according to a note. In 1901 Lucy was with her grandmother, next door to the rest of the family. Her name looks like it's Sophia Groves, a retired dressmaker, and her widowed sister Ella or Eliza Sanford was living with them. Grandmother was 68, sister was 64. Both born in New Brentford, Middx. Ancestry.com has wrongly transcribed the family as Grones. Unusually the 1901 census was more helpful.
In 1911 William and Elizabeth were with son Henry and daughter Lily, at 1 Tildesley Low Cottages, Southall, Middlesex.
