At the 1851 Census William was staying with his Uncle John Prettyjohn Pitts and his Grandmother Sara in Stokenham.
The three daughters were all unmarried at Muckwell farm in 1901.
Mrs Jane Ann is still at Muckwell according to Kellys 1902 Directory, but by 1906 it is being farmed by William Henry Widger.22
6 Aug 1884 Western Morning News
A traction engine drew two trucks containing upwards of one hundred children to the Start Lighthouse over the road from Stokenham on the Bank Holiday. The engine is owned by Mr. Pitts of Muckwell and Mr Bucknell of Kellaton. This was the first occasion on which it had been used, and as the kind of locomotion is quite new to the district considrable curiosity was manifested in the progress of the novel party.
L. Pitts advertised in the Western Times on 7 & 14 Aug 1891 for a traction engine driver to take charge of a six horse threshing set on a round. Liberal wages were offered.
Jane's brother Samuel was farming at Start, Stokenham in 1881, and Jane was living with him and his family
In 1901 after William's death, William Edmund Partridge, 41, born in Woolfardisworthy, was Farm Manager, living at Muckwell. Was this a connection that resulted in Ann and husband living at Woolfardisworthy? Though the farmer next door was James Partridge
In 1902 Partridge married Kate Pitts
In 1902 Kellys had Mrs Jane Ann Pitts, farmer at Muckwell.
