As Lewis Wright and Thomas Pickett were nearing Barnstaple Cross on their way home to Sandford from Morchard races, Mr. Pickett fell out of the trap and cut the top of his head very badly; he also had a very bad cut across the forehead.
Oct 1889. As Mr Thomas Pickett, postmaster, was returning from Crediton on horseback, the girths attached to the saddle became loosened and he was thrown from his horse, sustaining severe bruises
We find Harriet with her aunt Harriet Hatting, in 1871, who seemed to have brought her up. In 1918 Harriet was at the Star Inn, Sandford
In 1939 she was at Shute, Sandford, with Herbert Thomas Pickett
