Interestingly at the 1901 census, on the same page as Walter, also serving as an AB on HMS Thames was Albert Prettijohn, born it looks very much like in Stokenham
In 1901 was serving on HMS Thames. In 1918 Voters List Walter and Ellen were registered at 5 Underhills Court, East Street, Crediton. In the 1935 Voters List Walter John, Ellen and Bertie Bubear were still at 5 Underhills Court. In 1949 and 1951 Ellen had died and Walter senior was living with Bertie at 5 East Street, Crediton.
